23rd April 2014

Classes 1 and 2 enjoyed a day in the sunshine at the Scrambles where Sam had arranged some very exciting activities for them. The previous night, a dragon had come along and blown away all the goblins' houses. Our boys and girls had to work in groups to find appropriate materials to build new homes for the poor goblins.
They also used 'sticky cards' to collect as many different shades of one colour as they could, as well as hunting for objects which matched their vocabulary cards of 'rough', 'smooth', 'new', 'old', etc.
Everyone made a 'Goblin's Breath' bracelet out of strands of wool.
One of the highlights of the day, as usual, was the picnic lunch. Afterwards, the children learned how to make fire in the fire pit and then they toasted some marshmallows. They all agreed that they were delicious. Please click on the photos to enlarge.
